Hi, I have used "Find my iPhone". On the device that you want to be able to locate, just turn on "Find my iPhone" in the settings. You do not have to have the "Find my iPhone" app on the device. When you want to find it, install the "Find my iPhone" app on a IOS device. When you run the app, it will ask for Apple ID credentials. Use the credentials of the Apple ID of the device that you want to locate. It will find the device. If more than one device uses that Apple ID, it will ask which one that you want. You can then track the device, have it play a sound, etcetera. This works for iPod Touches and iPads as well. It has come in handy when my kids leave their iPod touches under the couch cushions and such. HTH, Scott Duck
