I too have an iPhone 4. IOS 7.2 is a bit slower on the 4 but nothing you can't get use to. And, if you upgrade your phone to the 5s, it will be on that phone anyway. If your planning on getting a new phone this year, then putting the latest software on your iPhone 4 will give you plenty of time to learn your way around so that when you do get a new phone, you'll already be up and running then you can just enjoy your new phone.
