Actually there's a setting to disable the beeping, and the recording occurs automatically with inbound and outbound calls, no need to tap Record. At least this is the way my app has been configured. It keeps a history of all recorded calls, the disadvantage of course being that the amount of recording depends on the size of your phone's memory. There's a complicated way to use Google Voice and CallCentric so that you don't have to pay for VOIP, but honestly, it's more trouble than it's worth.--Joe

By default there will be a beep every 15 seconds since in many juristictions it is illegal to record phone calls or at least to record them without letting the other party know. This is also the reason why Apple does not allow apps in the app store which can do this easily with a regular phone call. There are apps out there, but most of them involve a subscription to some service where if you want to record an incoming call, you would have to place the caller on hold, then start the app which would call a server and then the calls are merged and your call is recorded on a server somewhere.
