You actually don't have to authorize iDevices to playback content synced from iTunes. If your computer is authorized, content should transfer just fine. If you want to associate your device with your Apple ID for automatic downloads and downloading past purchases right from the device, then go to settings>iTunes & App Store and make sure you're signed into your primary Apple ID. Then simlly turn on the options you want, such as automatic music downloads. But again, content from iTunes should be syncing fine without doing any of this. Are you experiencing a problem getting content onto your iPod?
