I'm one who own the ipad, the mini and iphone, and one who uses all of them.

As far as i'm concern, the full ipad and the mini is exactly the same. Only
different you might get is the size.
Also, if you compare the air and the mini retina, they both have the same specs
but different size. However, if you compare the mini retina, and mini 1st gen,
the mini retina will be faster than the mini 1st gen.
For me, i use my full ipad when i'm at home, watching videos etc. and i'll have
my mini with me when i
m traveling around the place, using it on the bus or train or plain, reading
book browsing internet etc.
As far as my phone is concern, i use it mainly to make phone calls, and also
using it for gps, social media, camera etc.
If i have the choice to choose between mini retina and the air, i will go with
the air.

As far as the apps that got mention on one of the email is concern, you can use
kindle, bard, voicedream, read2go, ibooks on both the phone and also on the pad.

Also, someone did mention something about how blind people use ipad because
they don't to seem like part of the the sighted community, that is something
i'm not sure if i can agree with.
