Chris, is there any reason why some controls may be at the top of the screen on the iPad verses the iPhone and on the bottom of the screen on the iPhone? I understand that the iPad air has a much larger screen then does the iPhone 5s. What I'm not understanding is why would the buttons be at the top of the screen on one device and on the bottom of the screen on the other. Are there going to be those sorts of differences often? Is this going to be like a totally different experience then that of the iPhone 5s? Are there any members out there with both an iPhone 5s and an iPad Air who can give me an over view of any differences between the layout on the screens of both devices. Sorry for my confusion here. I suppose I'll find out soon enough either way as my wife and I should be getting the air today.

Regards,

Alan

Hi
oh ok, yes some of the apps on the iPad are laid out differently, i have noticed this a lot since acquiring my mini, no big deal though as i am a quick learner and always explore the screen anyway.

Best wishes for 2014 Chris

I only have an iPhone, but one of the things Alan is asking about is
whether there's any difference between the iPhone and the iPad. I know
one difference is that the iPad uses containers a lot more than the
iPhone. I've also heard that some apps lay things out a bit differently
on the iPad, such as placing the buttons on the top instead of the
bottom. Maybe Alan can clarify that this is the kind of information he's
looking for and others who have both an iPhone and an iPad can talk
about such differences.

Hi
i think you will be surprised, the iPad Air and iPad mini as far as
screen size goes is far bigger than the iPhone 5s, however the mini is
smaller as the screen size is 7.9 inches whereas the Air is 9.7 inches.
Now as for the two devices together they perform exactly the same as
each other, however I heard the mini's processor is slightly
underclocked than the same processor on the Air.

Best wishes for 2014 Chris

Hi All,

With the talk about the iPad mini and people having difficulty in
locating the keys and buttons, this brings up a few questions I have
before I buy my iPad Air. I am assuming the screen of the iPad Air is
going to be exactly like that on my iPhone 5s is this correct or am I
in for a surprise or two? I as of yet have not laid hands on the iPad
Air. With all the recent talk of the iPad mini, what if any are the
differences between the Air and the Mini? Thanks in advance for any
illumination you can shed on my problems.
