So I’m sending an iPad to my in-laws in Germany and am trying to get some photos on to it for them. The iPad is associated with my mother-in-law’s Apple ID so my understanding is that I can’t just plug it into my computer and transfer them that way. It’s upwards of 9 gb of photos. I figured the simplest way to get them on there was to download Google Drive and install it on her iPad and log in with my wife’s Drive information as they’re all backed up to there. And indeed, everything shows up from within the app. My question now is… How can I download photos/files from Google Drive to the actual iPad? I’ve poked around online and have come across information on how to upload documents to google Drive, but nothing really about getting a batch of pictures off Google Drive and on to the iPad. I’d like to do this on my end before sending the tablet to my in-laws as they’re not technologically inclined and I don’t know how reliable their Internet connection is. If anyone can shed some light on how this could be done with Google Drive or even some other means, I would very much appreciate it. Again, we’re talking about 9 gb of pictures so Drop box or even iCloud isn’t an option. I only mention Google Drive because we had already backed up all these photos to there and bought the extra storage way back when.
