I highly recommend Rainbow Color Reader -- a stand alone color identifier for $99. It is extremely accurate. I have not had luck with the color ID apps for iPhone, though I have not tried CamFind yet and am looking forward to doing so.

It can identify about 150 colours and usually it does a great job.
