Hi all, Yesterday and today I was playing around with Prizmo and my standscan. I got my standscan all set up and it was easy to unfold and set up. I have the adapter plugged in to the standscan and into the outlet wall and the light turned on.
In my Prizmo app, I either swiped over to quick capture or create new document. Then I either double tapp on the quick capture which takes me right to the quick capture camera or I double tapp on create new document which then gives me three options to choose from 1. text, 2. business card, and 3. imige . So I tapp on text and then it takes me to another screen where I have 2 options to select from 1. take picture and 2, photo alblum . So I tapp on take picture. Now I'm at the camera. At the top left corner of the camera is the flash , so I turned flash mode to on. moving right over from the flash to the middle of the top of the camera is a option button. I double tapp on the option button and in that option button their are three options you can choose to turn on or leave off. The first option is 1. detect page. So I have detect page turned on. The second option is use stablizer. So I have that turned on. Then the third and final option is clean upiminge . But I have this one turned off. I have my sheet of paper with Lions )Eye Care Foundation ) informationin the standscan ready to go. On top of the standscan is a round hole that you can see through, if you were sighted. Anyhow, Iplaced my I phone camera over this hole and trying to position my phone just right so the text detector will detect the text on the sheet. I tried and tried over and over to position my phone just right and I do have a little sight that Ican tell that the camera has the entire text in view but it didn't say text detected and ready to shoot or take a picture. So I went ahead and took the picture and then swiped left to right to the done button. And it said unable to process text not detected. So I once again tried repeating the process and trying to line up my phone just right so that the text detector will detect the text. So finally, after trying and trying it finally detected the text and it said ready to shoot or take a picture. So I tapped the camera button and took the picture and then swiped over to done and at the top right corner I think it said results. So I tapped on results and there was my sheet of paper with the Lions (Eye Care Foundation ) information I wanted to scan into text.So I was successfull and was able to read the text. But now I can't get my phone positioned just right no matter what I do so I can take another picture of another sheet of information I want to turn into text. In fact. it will eventually say text detected and I'm no where near the text yet or at the top of the standscan. Any help and suggestions to help me get my phone in the right position on top of the standscan so I can get the text detector to detect the text so I can take a picture? Also, I figured out how to delete a document from Prizmo if I take a picture and the text isn't there. So I delete that document. I'm learning Prizmo on my own but this positioning my phone just right on top of the standscan has me very frustrated but I'm not giving up. I also would like to know how to name my document so I can find it for future use? Sorry for the long and lengthly post but I didn't want to forget anything.
