Hi, the Focus 14 and the Braille Pen 12 are going to be the smallest,
but at the cost of more scrolling. If this isn't an issue for you, then
these are great. As you move up the line, the Perkins Mini has 16 cells
and even a text file and Braille file reader. Moving up from there and
where I would personally start is the Braille Connect 18 from APH. This
one has 18 cells and so even though there is a lot of scrolling, it's
not nearly as much as with a 12, 14, or 16 cell display. After that I
believe the next step up is the 32 cells displays.
Good luck.

Hi all,
I'm considering purchasing a small braille display for use with my iphone. Just
wondering what other users recommend? I want something that has a decent number
of cells for reading, but is still small enough to fit in a deep pocket. Will
even accept a size display the size of the phone if need be. I was maybe
thinking the focus 14 blue, or even an 18 cell display if those exist. I mean a
display, not a note taker. I already have a 32 cell braille sense, but want
something small I can carry in a pocket for if I'm out and don't have my
braille sense with me, which whilst it doesn't happen offten, might still be a
good thing to have if I want to be private or not disturb others with the
talking phone say if I get a message while family members are watching tv. I
only use headphones for music and I feel a braille display means I can still
use the phone, but be private and quiet, and still be social with those around
me when out, where as I feel earphones cut me off from those around m
e and I look more anti social.
Just considering at this point, no real decisions made, but I'd enjoy hearing
others thoughts.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Andrew
