Hi Shirley Welcome to the group. About the Bluetooth headset, are many bt devices that will allow you to do that, and more. Just you need to be sure that these devices are a2dp, and if you want, some bt devices allows you to use siri from the bt, like this you don't need to push the home button when ever you need to use siri. If you have your iPhone in your backpack, you don't need to take it out and push the home button, just you need to push a little button in your headset, and say to siri what ever you want. Plantronic leyend is a good choice for me, I am using this headset and I am happy with this.
