Scott, thanks! I do have the latest IOS and show no updates for Skype in the App Store.
So, when I go to Call Phones, there is already a number at the top, the last dialed. If I tap a new digit, it is added to the end of that number and the delete key at the bottom of the screen won't even erase that last entered digit. Maybe I should delete Skype and reinstall.
