I’ve not had that experience.

If you press the power button while the screen is locked, it announces the time.

But the first lock of the screen just says “screen locked” for me.

Subject: Voiceover saying the time after the screen has been locked

Hi, has anybody noticed within the last hour or so that voiceover NASA's the
time when you lock the screen. So far, I have noticed this with headphones
plugged in and I'm not for sure if it happens without them plugged in.
