Ok, I will try to explain this speaker problem. If I use dictation in a text field, the speaker stays on and drains my battery. I can hear the speaker hissing. I am on an iPhone 5S and I do not know if this happens with other iDevices. Use dictation in a text field, then in a couple of minutes, put your ear up to the speaker, and listen for a hiss. My speaker is located down at the bottom right corner. If I use Siri via the home button after I use dictation, the speaker will turn off after a minute. However, if I forget to use Siri, my speaker stays on and my battery very quickly drains.
I have not run the update, I am waiting a bit for some of the download traffic to slow down a bit, besides, I have not received an alert on my phone yet. :) After I run the update I will check to see if the speaker problem persists.
