That is exactly what I do to make the speaker stop hissing. :) I just ask Siri 
for the current temperature. I forgot to note in my earlier email that the 
speaker always seems to hiss for around one minute but will then turn off. 
However, after dictating into a text field it will stay on for hours unless I 
trigger Siri. If I dictate before bed and don't force the speaker to shut off 
by using Siri, my 100% charged Phone will be down to 52 percent in the morning. 
Sometimes it will be at sixty something percent. This is very significant for 
me. :) As long as I use the Siri trick to make sure my speaker will shut off 
after a minute, I will have 99% battery in the morning. :)
