I have a similar problem with Gmail. I haven't used the account for a long time and there are 3000 messages in the inbox that I can't delete on my IPhone. I configured Microsoft Outlook to pick up the messages but for some reason, they don't delete from the server and I have the tick box unticked to leave a copy on the server. It seems like some how, I need to reset Microsoft Outlook to go to check for unred messages on the server and download them again. I tried deleteing the Microsoft outlook account and adding it back in again but this didn't work either. There doesn't seem to be a clear way on the web interface in Internet Explorer to delete all messages.

Hi Connie, Yahoo supports Imap, so if you're currently using pop3, switch to Imap on all your devices and this will make deletions much easier to handle across all your devices. I was hoping that by doing that, I wouldn't have to delete the same messages from my computer, my iPod, and my iPhone. I went into settings on my iPhone and found mail. So I clicked on it but didn't see anything in yahoo mail that would say something like delete every 15 minutes. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
