WE should see blood pressure devices which work with the iPhone hopefully soon since Apple's new Health app and the health kid for devlopers allows companies to develop both hardware devices as well as apps which will work well with the iPhone. Apple is working with at least one manufacturer of medical devices, I think it was something like Epic Systems, but I can't quite remember, and I'm sure there will be more just as there will be more in the area of home automation. Both health kit and home kit are features of iOS 8 and I'm sure there is lots of good stuff coming within the next year or so.
