It's the most accurate scale I have had. It is right with the doctor's
scale, and it is accurate to a tenth of a pound. I think that almost any
scale will vary a bit if you try it several times.
One problem we as blind people have I think is stepping on in exactly the
same spot each time. The least variance can make a difference.
I don't like having to set it up again and again if something goes wrong
with wireless, though I have it connected to a more reliable network now.
I just like being the first to know how much I weigh, not having everyone
within hearing distance know at the same time.

I wouldn't say that it is preferable, and it isn't for everyone. I can tell
you what I like about it.
It's quiet. It tells body fat percent. It syncs with the fitbit app on my
phone as well as my fitness pal, and shows progress. I suppose I'm a tech
and gadget addict.
