One thing to remember is that gestures are different with voiceover on than with it off; I don't know if this applies to answering the phone or not but i have to turn voiceover off to let anybody sighted do anything with it and, yes, the screen curtain has to be off too! Unless you use earphones that have a built-in control or allow you to answer by voice, I don't know of an alternative, and of course if somebody is just picking up your phone and answering it for you, the other person isn't going to be using headphones. Even though I am a long-time iPhone user, I find that I tend to forget and double tap with only one finger, and then I yell at my phone because it activated something else. A two-finger double tap anywhere should answer the call but if it isn't a two-finger double tap, unless you are on the answer button, your results won't be what you wanted.
-- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf. I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash! Then God gave me a new heart and life: His joy for my despairing tears! And now, every day: "This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
