Hi,
Don't get discouraged. If you are not getting good results, first check if
your flash is on. Lighting makes all the difference. Double tap the flash
button until it says flash is on. Then Place the top right corner of your
phone approximately in the middle of the document. Raise the camera about 8
or 10 inches with the vibrator on. Flick to the field of view report and
double tap. Keep repeating that until it tells you it can see all 4 sides
and that you are rotated only a couple of degrees. Turn if you are rotated
more than that that and change the tilt until you stop the vibration. Than
you can either flick to the take picture and double tap or place 2 fingers
on the left of the screen. When you lift one of your fingers, it will take
the picture and that avoids you moving the camera while trying to double tap
the take picture button.
Sounds complicated but, its not at all when you do it. This is one of the
cases where explaining it is a lot more difficult than doing it.

Hey Everyone:
I excitedly purchased the KNFB reader app yesterday.
However, I seem to be having a lot of trouble with it.
I have tried to do several scans but can't seem to get good results.
I tried holding the camera sideways.
I tried holding it straight up and down.
I tried holding it with the camera lens facing down towards the page.
I have the tilted guidance setting on.
Every once in a while, it will stop vibrating and I will try to take a
picture, and sometimes it will kind of read some text but it's very jumbled
and while it gets some words it often doesn't make sense.
However, I keep reading how so many others are getting great results.
Just last week, I was able to witness a demonstration of this app, and it
worked great.
I don't have much printed material around at the moment, so have been trying
to scan a random page from a paperback book.
Does lighting make a difference?
How do you hold the phone to get the best results?
For those who got great results on their first try, what did you do and how
did you hold the phone?
I even listened to the Applevis podcast.
I was just initially so excited about this app when I heard the
demonstrations of how well it worked and it's not seeming to work very well
for me.
What am I doing wrong?
