See if this is another way to delete Emails:
After reading an Email, go back to the inbox with the escape key on a keyboard
or using the back button. Focus on the Email, then flick up once. Double tap
to delete.

This is how I go around the email bug. I read the email by flicking up from
the bottom with 2 fingers. When the email is finished I three-finger flick up
from the bottom. Now you can delete and it will delete not reply. Must be the
focus problem. Hope this helps someone. Will email accessibility with this bug,
however.
