Hello there Christopher, and others,
Thank you for attempting to help me. I really appreciate it.
I believe my account is set up as a pop account. How do I find out what it is
set up as?
Also, if I want to change it, how do I do this? I went into the settings, but I
did not see this as an option.
I did change the setting to delete messages, instead of archive them. So I do
have this fixed.
However, this problem is still happening. It seems to be just in the inbox. As
far as I can tell. I haven't checked other folders. Although, there are a lot
of messages in my trash folder.over 4000, as it first I was just moving them,
and not actually deleting them.
Is there a way to delete all these messages out of here? Or do I have to do it
one by one? I sure as heck hope not.
Any help, and/or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thank you again.

Is it possible you have Gmail set up to use POP instead of IMAP? What you
describe could happen if you're using POP and you don't have it configured to
remove the messages from the server after downloading them or deleting them.
Also, are you just talking about the in box? When using IMAP, if you delete a
message from the in box Gmail moves it to your trash folder, so you'll still
see it in your trash and all mail folders.
Also, last I knew, the email client on the iPhone defaulted to moving your
email to the archive folder. You can change this in your email settings to have
your messages sent to the trash folder instead of the archive folder. You'll
see archive instead of delete at the bottom of your messages and in the roter
when you flick down if you haven't changed this default yet.

Hello everyone,
I am having some email issues, when trying to delete messages. I can not say
whether or not this is a new problem, as I have just recently started deleting
my mail. As crazy as that sounds.
When trying to delete messages, they don't get deleted. I am trying to delete
the messages individually. I swipe down, until I get to the delete option.
Some of them get deleted. But a lot of the night. I don't understand where this
is going on. It doesn't make sense to me. They disappear, as though they have
been deleted. But then when I start the milk Landover, either because I am
finished, or voiceover steps, I come back and a bunch of the messages are still
there.
What would cause this to happen? Why is this going on? Is anyone else having
this issue?
Any help with this problem would be very much appreciated. It is very annoying,
as I get a lot of mail. I'm tired of this happening. I did do the upgrade to
8.2 a day or two ago. While it has fixed my bags, I am still having bags. But
it is better than it was.that was supposed to be, bugs.
Thank you, and I look forward to your responses.
Terri
