I think something might change with your library. The first time I opened iTunes after the upgrade there was a message about reorganizing the library (actually that wasn't the wording but I don't remember) and it took quite a while.
Really, even if you don't have to upgrade, there isn't a reason not to do it as far as I can see. You can still do what you did before but will have to do it a little differently. The thing is: at some point it probably will become necessary to upgrade iTunes though there's probably no harm in waiting until that time comes. I'm writing this from the perspective of iTunes on a mac; I can't speak knowledgeably about iTunes on Windows. -- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
