fleksy works as a third-party keyboard and iOS eight. However, there are a ton of bugs with it at the moment, and makes it almost impossible to get smooth typing with it. At least in my experience. I was actually trying to use fleksy to type this post, and had to go to dictation. You may want to wait a while, they are promising updates.
