Using F6 does help some I note but there are a lot of things I have not truly
experimented with in any version of iTunes. I used it mostly to keep my apps
up to day on the computer side, to back up my phone or check for new updates
and install them. I tried the radio, on phone and computer but never got
results that were overly satisfactory, may be because I like classical and
music from the 60s and 70s in the rock and country flavors, and if it has piano
I am thrilled regardless. I have not spent a lot of time with any of this but
I did do backups at least one a week which I can do but it takes more time and
only once did I do an over-the-air update not on my phone but on my late
husband’s because he requested it.

I used the source list that is now gone mostly to check apps, either to update
them on the computer or to remove something that was not something I wanted on
the iPhone if it was connected to the computer and I checked my status and did
backup and firmware updates with it.

With a computer crash I had last December I lost a lot of music, even with the
match turned on, I don’t want to search for those CDs and reinstall them,
probably could not find them if I tried.

Hi,

Thanks Larry for requesting Jonathan to do a podcast on iTunes 12. There has
been so many threads on the topic. For me, Jonathan, it's the tips and tricks
on how to navigate with JAWS 16 and iTunes 12 that has me baffled. Believe it
or not Jonathan, I still have the 2 part iTunes 11 listed from Freedom
Scientific downloaded in Downcast for reference. I agree that there's more
unnecessary tabbing in this version, but there must be some quick work arounds.
Thanks Jonathan for taking the time to make some constructive comments on the
next FS Cast.

Cheers,

Eileen

I find the treeviews after you select a radio button both confusing and
somewhat difficult to figure out what goes where because of all the tabbing you
have to do to get from the treeview you select to the items that relate to that
selected treeview. I was also having difficulty doing anything with the music
on my phone; before V12, I could just paste a song into music and it was done.
Now I'm having problems just finding the music on my phone, and I could only
see one of my playlists.

Hi Larry, thanks a lot for the kind words, really appreciate that.

I'm going to make brief reference to iTunes 12 in the next FSCast and outline
some of the shortcut keys that have already been well covered on this list.

If there's demand for even more than this, we may come back to it and do a
demo. But not too much has changed really if you've been working with iTunes
without the sidebar.

Hi. I was wondering if Jonathan would consider doing a podcast on itunes 12?
His earlier itunes podcasts were so good that I could sure use an update.
Thanks.
