Hi Mary, As I said, I don't have iTunes Match so maybe somebody who does can confirm whether songs you buy on your phone download or not. I know they definitely do for me. I guess you could turn on automatic downloads in iTunes on your Mac and if you buy a song from your phone you can delete it again from your phone. Of course your suggestion to only buy music from your Mac is probably the easiest solution.
