Yes, I’m familiar with these traditional banks and their apps. One thing to keep in mind with USBank is that they charge you 50 cents for each check you deposit mobiley. I just find the nickel and diming the brick and mortar banks to be off-putting.
Off hand, I don’t recall the last time I had to physically go into a bank about an issue. This is why my interest in an online bank alternative. They’re all going to more or less do the same thing. I was just curious as to the iOS accessibility with their apps since they’re not going to be as big as the more well-known banks. I only use it for checking our Visa card, but I suspect all the other features are equally accessible. The Bank of America app is completely accessible. You can take a picture of a check and deposit it, but if you have no vision, you have to make sure and figure out which is the front and back and whether it is upside down or not. I’ve not heard much about Wells Fargo’s app, but since you have an account with them, you probably should check it out. I know nothing about the various online banking companies. I personally prefer to deal with a company that if there is a real issue, I can go into a physical office and talk with a manager. I could go with either USBank or Wells Fargo as I already have accounts with them, but I’ve been thinking of just going the online bank rout. I was curious of anyone uses an exclusive online bank and if they have reasonably accessible iOS apps? The typical stuff. Depositing checks, bank transfers, account balance, etc. I may just end up going with one of the banks I mentioned, but since it’s not like I can test drive an online option without going through the process of opening an account, I thought I’d ask. Nerd Wallet has a good breakdown of online banking options in general: http://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/banking/nerdwallets-top-online-checking-accounts/ If it matters, I was leaning towards Ally. Simple looked like a good option, but I believe they’re not accepting new customers at the moment. -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
