Thanks Sieghard, I’m using Window-eyes, but those steps worked just fine for any Window-Eyes users out there who haven’t figured this out.
I was in the album list, so I didn’t have to select all songs, just selecting the album does the trick. It seems odd that when you say you want to edit the items, they don’t just become editable. O well, now I know how it works and it works just fine, so thanks again. Select all songs in the album. 2. As you did before, use Control+I FOR “Get Info”. 3. Tab to the Details button and activate it by pressing the spacebar or enter. This will not do anything noticeable. 4. Tab past the rest of the buttons like “Artwork”, “Lyrics”, “Options”, “Sorting” and “File”. Actually, the “File” button is not there if you edit multiple tracks. 5. Continue to tab, you are now hearing read only fields like “Song Name”, this is followed by the actual song name which is also announced as a read only field. Once again, if you edit multiple tracks, song name is not there, it will start with “Artist, read only” and this is followed by the artist name. Then you get to “Album, read only” and another tab will put you on the album name. 6. Now here is the trick, to get into Edit mode on any of these fields, route your Jaws cursor to the PC cursor and do a left mouse click. This will put you in edit mode, but it’s still a bit strange because a say line won’t actually say anything. I am pretty sure the cursor sits behind whatever is in the field and you should be able to review it by left arrowing or you can press home to go to the start and then right arrow or use the say word command. You can also just backspace and delete it all if you want to replace it with something else anyways. I admit I am stumped. I have an album that imported from a CD with the wrong title. I have not figured out how to edit that. I get into the album and bring up the context menu and select get info. I say yes to editing multiple items. I’ve tried clicking on details, but the title of the album is a static box that doesn’t allow editing. Anyone know how to do this?
