Hello Denise, I’m about to do the same. It’s my understanding by backing up to either iTunes on a computer or iCloud and then restoring from that backup will restore all the parts of each app.
Just checked. I’m using 8.1.1 and within settings, iCloud there’s an option to backup. It’s between passbook and keychain. I backed up and it states that all my documents will be backed up.
