When you say you want to access the ID3 tag information, do you mean you want to see who is just singing and what the name of the song is? If so that information is displayed in the music app and, if you have the phone locked you just have to wake it up and it’s right there on the lock screen. You can also ask SIRI “What’s playing right now” and you’ll get the song title and artist.
