I’ll try and explain how I do it. If I am flicking through a list of messages, 
and I land on the one I want to read, I double tap on it. then I move my hand 
to the right side of the screen and tap with one finger. At this point, vo will 
say something like “close pop up” if you tap again, the list of messages will 
disappear and you are only dealing with the one message. If you want to go back 
to the list, move to the upper left of your screen and there will be a “in box” 
button. I am writing this from memory so I apologize if I get some of it wrong. 
My iPad is at home and I am at work.
