Thanks very much Deidre and Richard for yor answers to my questions. The first is clear, you can be part of a family group but live some distance apart from members within the group. The second I'm not so sure about although having just the credit card info for the organiser of the group does make one think payments would be deducted from that card. If that is the case then your point Richard about trusting members of the group is most important.
