We've tried to reproduce the problem in our lab, but unfortunately, Google
Earth doesn't run at all on our test machine any longer, not even on the
console. It worked a few weeks ago, now it doesn't. We'll get a segfault
in different libraries such as libX11, libc, libGL etc.
I guess we need to reinstall or try another machine.
