I fear there are 2 choppy sounds in the wild: one is this: https://mailman.uli.it/pipermail/visdn-hackers/2006-June/001172.html when a iax or ata phone calls outside, the called party hear a chopped sound; this is fixed by commenting out (disable) goto not_copying
