I actually solved this issue yesterday. I guess I added my topic too
soon. The solution for me was that the built-in Apache server bundled
with VisualSVN Server was timing out. The trick was finding which
timeout flag to modify. This problem was resolved by adding the
following to my httpd-custom.conf file:

KeepAliveTimeout 360
