FWIW the vmsinstallable savesets for version 6.x still have a DECC*.A name.
But you are correct we might need a mention of "Compaq C" at least for
Compaq's marketing department as well as to help folks otherwise unfamiliar
with VMS. In another sign of old-timer hood, we don't mention "OpenVMS"
do we? Did everyone see the openvmstimes.pdf file from compaq that mentions
IDG coming out with "OpenVMS for Dummies"?
In other publishing industry news Alan Winston in the "Microtimes" Feb 1,
2000 issue (number 203, www.microtimes.com) mentions perl in general and
vmsperl in particular. Check out:
