Hmm. Haven't seen that one before. Do you by any chance have an old copy
of UNZIP? I've been creating these kits with zip -"Vr" and have not until
now encountered any problems with file corruption. What version of OpenVMS
Alpha are you running? I just tried to reproduce this by downloading from
crinoid and relinking but it worked fine for me using UNZIP 5.41 on OVMS
Alpha 7.1.

If you test building from source, you may want to try

which does not include object code but does include a couple of additional
fix-ups from recent days. We'll get this up on crinoid including rebuilt
object libraries real soon now hopefuly.
