It's been a very long time since I've seen a build with a pre-6.0 C compiler, so I'm not surprised there are wrinkles. This compiler version must be about 5 years old, so if there is any possibility of an upgrade, please do so.

I wasn't aware it is that old. But it's about right. That is when I left the place to system management there. Upgrade might be possible but not immediately.

That said, if we get patches to Perl that
correct problems with older compiler/OS versions we'll include them
in the next release as long they don't introduce too much of a tangle
in the code.

I'll have a look.
