Hello Adam-Jonathan is the one who pointed me to vmsperl@perl.org as a resource, on this, because he's exposure to VMS was so limited...

I note that Jonathon (Term::ReadKey author) is doing some overhaul stuff
on it as we speak (in the last few hours) to help it handle various new
bugs uncovered in the Win32 implementation.

It might be a good idea to hook up with him directly while he is in the
editing mood.
