Floyd,

        Your problem is that you must edit the Default Properties.  You will
need to log on at the machine's console and start the service.  When it
displays the Default Properties dialog, enter a password and click OK. 
Then go to Start->Programs->RealVNC->VNC Server->Show Default Properties
and do the same again - I'm afraid there seems to be some bug in the
initial Default Properties that prevents the settings from "sticking" in
some cases.
