Win2k. I use VNC for the clients and TSC/VNC/Radmin-combo on the servers. There's nothing like reduncancy for the servers. 8-) Radmin is on it's way out though, since what I have is a eval-copy. It's real fast, but VNC v3.3.4 is not far behind, so I see no reason to pay a sh@tload of money for Radmin. Incidentally, my bosses agree with me on this issue too. 8-) >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Sorin Srbu" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Monday, 2002-10-14 06:06 >Subject: RE: Bios access > > >> On Mon, 14 Oct 2002 11:19:35 +0100, [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> wrote: >> >> >It wouldn't be good if you could remotly play with the bios and change >> >the setting while someone is workingo n the pc. >> >> No, scheduled reboot would be the way to activate the new settings. >> 8*) >> >> >kind of like me changing you cabaretor or cleaning the jets on your >> >car while you are driving, you would have to stop (or reboot) >> > >> >What exactly do you want to do? >> >> Remote update the bios of about 30-40 computers, and check the >> others for what bios version they run... 8-( BW, Sorin # Sorin Srbu, Systems Engineer Web: http://www.farmaci.uu.se # Dept of Medical Chemistry, Phone: +46-18-4714482 >> 5 signals >> GSM # Div of Org Pharm Chem, Mobile Phone: +46-701-718023 # BMC, Box 574, Uppsala University Fax: +46-18-471-4474 # SE-751 23 Uppsala, Sweden Visit: BMC, Husargatan 3, D5:512b # # Public PGP key available on request. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
