Yes, A lot of users have encountered this bug. It is really a bug in the
documentation or knowledge that v4 has taken care of nicely. What you
have is the password set in the current user portion of the registry.
And have not set the default/local machine password. Check the title bar
of the properties window. To get the default properties window. Type
winvnc -defaultsettings in a command prompt in the dir you have the
winvnc.exe file.

Correct me if I'm wrong, preventing the properties dialog at startup is
not always possible if you're running windows 98 - both Tight and Ultra
(not yet tried Real 4.0b) ignore the fact that the password has already
been set (ie. is in the registry) and show the properties dialog anyway
-
setting the "AllowProperties" won't help :-(

Has anyone else encountered this bug AND worked around it?
