Dear VNC-ers
Some time ago I downloaded and installed the RealVNC programs (v3.3.7). It
works fine.
Nevertheless: a minor problem, I think:
Everytime I startup my computer (WinXP-prof) I see the RealVNC server icon
in the systemtray (right/down on the desktop). In the taskmanager
(Ctrl-Alt-Del program) processestab I see that WINVNC.EXE is running.
I tried to prevent it from running at startup by deleting a registrykey,
nl.: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/CurrentVersion/Run =
"C:\.....<directories>....\Winvnc.exe -<some switch>
The result is, that the tray-icon is disapeared (after rebooting of course),
but the process is again active as it is present in the beforementioned
taskmanagerprocesses window.
How can I definetively prevent it from running at startup, so that I can run
it from the taskbar via start/programs...etc whenever I need it?
I feel this question has already been treated before but in spite of doing
my best I couldn't find former answers on it. Sorry: I hope you don't mind
me to pose this question nevertheless.
Thanks in advance
Godfried Hombergen.
