Hi I've also been having problems with RealVNC 4.0 and ZoneAlarm 4.5.530 (the standard version, not Pro).
I'm using Windows XP Professional SP1 with ZoneAlarm and the 4.0 beta 4 viewer-only package, and I'm trying to connect to a Win2K SP4 server running 4.0 beta 3. When I try to connect I get the "attempting to connect" box displayed, and VNC gets no further. If I try to connect from my XP machine to the Win2K machine using the Java viewer, or if I turn off ZoneAlarm, everything works perfectly.
