The problem is that I don't have physical access to the server. This is the only way I could get in to the server. What happens is that due to some reason Terminal Services locks the connections and requires a reboot. Since there is no monitor on that box, remote-hands has to go to the data center and power cycle the box. I am trying to find an easy to reboot OR restart the terminal services. rajeev

It's not clear at all. What have you done exactly? It seems that starting VNC in a Terminal Service session isn't working as expected. You'd better get in the front of the console and start it there. ________________________________________ De : Jain, Rajeev - Contingent Staff [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Envoyi : vendredi 5 mars 2004 18:25 @ : Seak, Teng-Fong Objet : RE: Blank Screen I logged in to the server through terminal services and started VNC. I didn't want for long but there is no screen saver. -----Original Message----- From: Seak, Teng-Fong [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 05, 2004 11:12 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Blank Screen You don't have that because he thought your VNC server is installed in WinXP, which is not your case. WinXP has a function called "fast user switching" which isn't in Win2k. When you say "blank screen", have you waited long enough? Do you have this problem when your server machine is in screene saver mode or not? > -----Message d'origine----- > De : Jain, Rajeev - Contingent Staff > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Envoyi : vendredi 5 mars 2004 00:18 > @ : 'John E.
