I think I got this figured out. Assuming a total Windows environment, i.e. Windows 2000 Server, WinXP Viewers. The XP Viewers install printer servers for each printer at there site. This give the printer an IP address that the Server can connect to. Then the Viewer when VNCing can printer to its own printer. printer. Inexpensive printer servers are available at Linksys (PSUS4) for USB printers. I will test this theory out as soon as Linksys replaces my Wireless G VPN router.
Unless someone says this will not work. :-) Tony Friendly Friendly Business Solutions mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 707-543-8155 or 707-486-5558 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Kevin Z Grey Sent: Monday, June 14, 2004 10:01 AM To: 'Corni Beerse'; 'FriendlySolutions' Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Printing -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Corni Beerse Sent: Monday, June 14, 2004 6:34 AM To: FriendlySolutions Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Printing <SNIP> There are various other protocols suited for the printing job. </SNIP> Like what? ~~K _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
