To the best of MY knowledge, this is true. However, by the judicous use of
regedit you can disable the tray icon entirely. There are some 3rd-party
apps, I believe, that'll also disable the tray icon for you. You can check
"http://faq.gotomyvnc.com"; and look up the info there.

Subject: Verification on Icon Changing Colors

I have read through the archives and the manual and want to be I understand
this issue correctly.

We use VNC to control quality on our CSRs (Customer Service Representatives)
to monitor the information they get from the caller and that the information
is entered correctly into our computer system. Therefore, it is not "good"
that they can tell when we are monitoring them because they are then on
their best behavior.

However in what I have read there is no way, other than editing the source
code, to change the option to change colors when the VNC connection has been
made. Is this correct?

Thanks
Annette
