Yes it is possible, however not usable... I have found with the unix implementation, with the web-server active: put the files (not directories) in the http directory and fetch them with the browser at "http://vncserver:5800/filespec";.
To be honest and fair, most vnc-implementations have no file transfer method. In fact, vnc is designed for keyboard-mouse-video transfer and nothing more.
There are vnc derivatives that do implement filetransfer stuff (and maybe even other things). Peek at them
