Paul: Was the server installed as a service? If not, you need to do that. -----Original Message----- From: Paul Entwistle [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2005 10:28 AM To: vnc-list@realvnc.com Subject: Connection Problem
Hi i recently downloaded the latest free version of VNC. However, I am getting various error messages when trying to use viewer to connect to server. Sometimes i get the 'connection rejected by user' error when the user hasn't even been notified of a connection at the server and other times i get the connection failed error 10061. I have checked that the port 5900 is open on both the server and the viewer and is listening. There are approx 200 station on our network and i have managed to get the server to work on one station - viewer can connect to this station from any other station. The station that i've managed to get working is on the smae network as all the other station. Same operating system (Windows 2000 Professional) and is connected to the same switch. There is no firewall involved - just a simple LAN. Any ideas whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
