You need to find out what your external IP is and make sure your IT department will allow you to connect. They may require a VPN or something like that before letting you access your PC at work.

VNC works fine on the lan at work, however I can't access from the internet. I'm a novice user of VNC and am unfamiliar with the port forwarding features of my router. My current settings are: APPLICATION START END PROTOCOL IP ADDRESS ENABLED vnc 5900 5910 Both xxx.xxx.167.11 checked The IP Address is the address for the local machine to which I'm trying to connect. Could someone please help me with what I'm doing wrong or what I'm overlooking? Thanx, Dave Wills _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
